This is a great shot of [one of the funiculars] with kids enjoying the wintry weather (sometime between 1937-1942), shot by the indelible Nelson Ronsheim. I know other Cincy bloggers have posted on him before (i.e. here), but if you still haven't visited Michael's Flickr site, I encourage you to do so - it hosts an amazing spread of his grandfather's artistry.
Ronsheim is definitely one Cincinnati artist who's flown under the radar for too long. For example, he was a commercial and fine artist, and among other things, the youngest person to be accepted to the Cincinnati Art Academy at that time.
Book on this guy's life, please.
